Ridin & Ropin Again.. last Sunday after church Scared Spur ..loaded up and went to Grand Saline to Ranch Rodeo... they didn't do to bad.. They came in second place for the day.. and brought home some pocket change......Go Scared Spur ... Some nice bronc ridin by Colt Collins... Great team work

Today was the 4th of the Rids Ranch Rodeo in Henderson, TX... BW&L Land and Cattle..didn't do too bad.. they are sitting 2nd.. Next month is the finals.. they are one point behind the number 1 spot..so we are gonna say some prayers that they ride and rope better than today...

You go Boys..your MOMMA's proud!

I Love the ocean.... something about it drawns me back... We saw the kids .... saw my friends.. did some shopping....then left SA for the Beach.. haven't seen the beach since we got married..so we went back ..check out the pictures... right before we got into Corpus a storm was about to hit and then as we were leaving the city...another one hit... we got some really cool pictures of the sky.......

Went to church on Wednesday night for some praise and worship..and came home with a new 4 legged child. Tristian has been wanting a puppy ever since we moved from SA..so he now has a puppy.. We got a girl because we need some estrogen in this house..to many men.. not enough women. She is sooo sweet..but she will probably end up being mine..because Mom ends up taking care of her.

Tonight was the big homecoming DANCE!.. The kids have been waiting all week for this big dance. New clothes.. borrowed shoes... etc.. Tater and YaYa have been dating according to them now a year.. Time has flown by.. Today was a very busy day with all the shopping, makeup..hair..man oh man.. I am glad I don't have a girl (well I guess I can't say that with YAYA that really doesn't apply)..anyway ..check out the pictures above!..They all cleaned up really well. Jared went and busted out his pants before the dance even started.. What can we say about those sissy pants.. he ended up wearing jean.. (all that work Paige did not getting them ironed and lint free and no one really got to see the hard work.....LOL).. Have to say Thanks to Ankie for the shoes.. Aunt Sandie for the undergarment.. Paige for the ironing.. and Cortney for the hair styling.. what would we do.. (well they would probaly be ok but not as well put together..LOL)..

Well tonight is homecomeing football game tomorrow is the DANCE!..they are really excited about the Dance..had to get some new duds.. Taylor and YAYA ..are excited about being together now for 1 year.. (that is a long time for teenagers (or aleast mine).. As you can tell they were not too happy in the 1st day of school picture.. but got better when it was time for FOOTBALL!.. I thought Tater was gonna play..but he changed his mine.. Loves Roping and Riden too much..

1st day of school as a 6th grader.... Now moved on to JUNIOR HIGH.. my BABY!....

Can't you read the excitement on his face!.. (Like Really MOM do we have to do this).. Can't believe he is a JUNIOR this year... And to make it worse ..he is driving.. no wonder I have been having major headaches the last two weeks..LOL..

Love the weather.. not ready for winter but loving the drop in the temperature.. Been busy and haven't updated lately.. I am another year younger..refusing to get older.. Kids started school.. They weren't ready and neither was .. Getting ready for my 2 year wedding aniversary and getting ready for Richards 50th birthday.. He says he is now a landmark! (his words not mine).. Well it has been a little busy here.. Taylor went to the Rockin C Ranch Camp the third week of July.. Was home the 4th week of July.. We had the Youth Ranch Rodeo on Saturday and Sunday.. The Finals were Sunday after church.. Saturday wellll the weather couldn't decide if it was gonna be sunny or rainy but it was COOL.. and a little muddy after the third rain..the worst of it came after Tristian's group finished Taylor got to preach to the younger group.. he did a really great job.. We are very proud of him.. .. NOW Sunday we were wishing for some shade and a breeze cause it was hot... and then some... .. What can we say... Well Taylor's Group Scared Spur won day money on Saturday but was a few second (11 to be exact) away from the money on Sunday.. But they finished 3rd place for the series..They got silver stirrups.... not to BAD!..it was really tight for the first through third place..

Tristian Group (BW&L Cattle Company)got the hard luck prize of a nice new head stall and they finished the series with 5th place (with another buckle, hat, and head stall) not too bad for their first series.. We all had a great time.. Taylor left Sunday after the Rodeo for another week at the Rockin C Ranch Camp .... I go pick him up tomorrow.. and Tristian,Syndie, Savannah start a new Ranch Rodeo series in Henderson.. this will be 5 show series.. ... so it will be busy for another couple of weeks.. ..
Can't forget the Birthdays.... Corey was 18 on the 5th and Hagen will have a birthday on the 8th.. (not sure how old and don't want to be in the dog house)...

Sorry... been a little busy.. Tater and YaYa got back from TFCC camp on Friday and Tristian left for a weekend with his Dad. Taylor left Sunday for the Rockin C Ranch for his first week as a 10:45 (camper/worker).... and Rich and I left for SA on Sunday.. .... We were invited down by his sister's to come visit.. We had a great time.... I got to go to the Flea Markets .. (I love going there to look--Rich would prefer not to go (he goesn't do the stop and look thing)... Had a great dinner and visit with Sherry, Trisha and Genie.. Got to hear some about Rich's childhood... and He got his early birthday present from the girls...Boy was he happy....We also went to see his friend Roland..(they have been friends since childhood)... He was glad to get home.. ... We unloaded the van he got into his chair and was asleep within 5 minutes...... (LOL)

Boyz..Boyz..Boyz... what can I say... They have to have some fun sometimes.. Well Today the Teens left for cowboy church youth camp in Aquilla, Texas.. (We all need to pray for the sponsors they have like 70 teenagers boys and girls).... 4 days.... only 4 days...(LOL)... check out the pictures below.. Cortney was roped into coming over to give tater his mohawk.... and then they wanted their hair colored......so what was going to be quick and easy ..ended up taking a little while longer.....Taylor Now as you can see ..has GREEN hair.... (ya know red (hair) blue (dye) ...= green hair.. (What happened to my handsome red headed little boy) (well it has a little turquoise tint..but he loves it and his happy.. Just hope he remembers to put the sunscreen on the top of the his head.. We had Fajitas, caso and chips......Uncle Rich did a good job and of course we had Birthday Cake for Sydnie.... and of course we she got a few presents... Lets see.. she got as you can see a Dora cake thanks to Ms. Misty.. she got new flip flops..(she could paint them herself) and a pair of Dora flip flogs.. she got a new PINK horse blanket, with a PINK horse brush, a PINK hoof pick for her horse (Redman).... she got Dora sunglasses, a Dora water bottle, Dora socks, some new clothes, new hair clips... .... she came out pretty good.... We had a great time and really great food.

Today is Sydnie's Birthday..... She turned three today!... She was wearing her new shoes that light up when you walk (they are flip flops..(I LOVE FLIP FLOPS) ) Granny told her they were her Cinderella shoes..and the she was the Princess or Cinderella or someting.... today since it was her Birthday! Here is YAYA at the Glamour and Grit /that the church put on.. it was for the teenage girls they got to model have their hair and make up done..and then we got to her from Eddie she is a radio talk show host for Christian radio she was really great and then they gave away some really nice door prizes and a wonderful dinner.. YAYA really loved those JEANS!

Well it has been HOT here and busy..... We finished baseball... Got our trophy....Celebrated 4th of July.. and now Tristian has left for camp today. The church group went to the TFCC Cowboy camp in Aquila Texas.. Taylor leaves next Tuesday.. YaYa did a 2 week stay at Rockin C Ranch as a camper/helper.. She is excited to go back next week as a CIT .. Counselor in Training.. She had a blast we went to watch her perform on Saturday.. Haven't down loaded the pictures yet... been a little busy and been without internet

Happy Birthday Tristian---Tristian turned 11 yesterday.... Aunt Kris make cupcakes.. she did an excellent job! Go Aunt Kris... So we gave Tristian a surprize birthday party at the spray park in Tyler.... He didn't have a clue.. But they had a great time .. and then afterwards we went to Ms. Kim's and they got to play in her pool. Ms. Kim and YaYa stopped and got a new floatie for Syndie so she could swim in the pool.. She loves the pool.. But not as much as Dora.. She did not want to leave the Dora floaty so much she brought it with her see the picture in the car with Dora.. We had to wait till Dad come to get her and then she got distracted and forgot Dora..

Well we had a baseball game Tuesday and church Wednesday and Party Thursday and tonight we have another baseball game and tomorrow we have the in-house Ranch Rodeo... so... we are up for another busy week... Hopefully we will have a breeze tonight.. (we can always hope)

Well it is way too HOT!! Been out in the heat having fun with the kids for the last two weekends Saturday and Sunday..... .. we have finished the Kids Ranch Rodeo Series... The kids did great.. Patrick go to ride in the last one of the series. Tristian, Syndie, Savannah and Zach completed their.. they came home with a whole bunch of prizes, rope bag, play rope, blanket, horse brushes, trick rope, etc.. It was a really good experience. We have now moved on to the Youth Ranch Rodeo series.. Tristian is on his first team ever. It is a learning experience. We have completed the second of a 4 part series. Taylors Team Scared Spur won 3rd place for the day last weekend a brought home some money. They got a no time in sort/doctor---3rd in Muggin--and 1st in Penning.. The penning was tight they were 1-1hundredth of a second from the next team.! You go Boys..they did really well considered we had a new man on the team an NO practice. We have also had the play day and the kids rode in it on Sunday I will post some more pictures later the one of Savannah and Tristian was at the Play Day..

Well we are warming up for another busy weekend. Tristian has a game on Friday night. And has been invited to participate in the All Stars game on Saturday with another team. Not sure how he got picked for it, but he wants to play, and Uncle Homer has agreed to take him (because we are going to SA Saturday to get Patrick) (yes we are driving down and back in the same day).. and if that would not keep us busy enough Sunday is the Kids Ranch Rodeo Finals.... so it will be a long tiring weekend... Hoping my back is better and does not give me any more problems (I can hope right)... Well I will let you know who it goes this weekend......

Well today was the first day of the Youth Ranch Rodeo series at the Bar None Cowboy Church in Tatum, Texas.... We have three more to go... And today was HOT (good ole' Texas heat 90 degrees)... I can just imagine what August 1st and 2nd will be like. WHEW! not looking forward to the heat. Well right now in points Taylor's Team Scared Spur Ranch is ranking #5..not too bad ----got a little work to do..but they can do it.. Tanner cut his finger in the first event..(but he is ok) he had both feet and we would have had a really good time but sometimes things do go as we plan.....

Tristian's team BW&L Cattle Ranch.. is placing 4th.... no bad.. got great.. but this is their first time to compete..They were doing really well in mugging till they didn't get the feet tied tight enough and the calf kicked loose go we got a NO time.. but they will learn..

Well it has been busy around here.. We had a baseball game tonight 21-3 it was not a good game. However;Tuesday night we had a great night---- won our first game of the season 11-1. We were really playing ball. Tristian has really improved this year. He has been playing First BASE!... and Has really been a hitter.(he has a problem batting in the past). He almost hit my van a few weeks ago at practice. And he has really been tring to get his team motivated to play together as a team.! You go Tristian... We got our baseball pictures tonight ---They look just like him NO SMILE! (he got that from my Dad)

Tristian and Taylor went with Uncle Homer last weekend on Saturday to a birthday party and to do a little roping. Then Sunday was church and they had the Branding (One goes into the herd ropes the back feet only and pulls the cow across the line and then the other two on the team has to flip the cow and then the last team mate come in an (pretends) to brand the cow) (in two minutes).. Both boys participated Taylor was on team with his Uncle HD, Kris, Savannah, and then Tristian was with Uncle Homer, Brent and his son.. Then Taylor had his own team of Him, Tanner, Colt and someone I forget who and they all got a NO TIME>> it was harder than they thought it was gonna be. But they had a good time. The weather on the other hand could not decide if it wanted to rain or the sun to shine...

Well Kim and the girls got the outside of Mom's house painted. It looks better...NO longer pee green..UGH.. lived with it for 37 years nice to have a change. Taylor mowed part of the grass on Monday just so they could put up the pool that Kim bought the girls. That was after him a Tristian mowed my front and back yard.. man did it need to be mowed.. Well I will try and up load some pictures hopefully this weekend..! We have our first Youth Ranch Rodeo on Saturday are Bar NONE this will be Tristian first time to compete with his own team.. IT should be interesting...

Yesterday we had another Game the Padres did a whole lot better we actually played like a team. Made some good hits.. Made some really good plays. Final shore was 5 to 4 in the other teams favor. But we at least scored and we played like an actual baseball team. We were down and ready to play. Tristian played 1st base.. he really wants to play catcher but he does a good job on first.. So I think he needs to just stay at first. He is hitting a whole lot better this year.

Well as you can see from the cheer squad Baseball has started.. We had a game Tuesday night, had practice tonight and have another game tomorrow evening.. Hoping that tomorrow will be better. We have had a rough start this season. Tristian is on a new team that has 6 new players and 6 somewhat seasoned players. So it is a learning process. I was really proud Tristian was the only player Tuesday to hit the ball..he made it to first and stole second and stole third and then our batter struck out so..we didn't make it home.. He got second bat ---got hit by the ball (he was ok) walked to first base then stole second and stole third base and batter struck out again..sooo he was a little disappoint.. He was really hitting tonight..I hope he does that well tomorrow night.. Tonight he almost hit my van..I was parked by the fence and the ball hit the fence and bounced.. Whew! ... that was a close one.. won't park there anymore...lol...As you can see Brody came to the game Tuesday he was cheering on Tristian or maybe the dog at the end of the bleachers not sure..lol...

Well it has been a very busy last couple of weeks.. Baseball is starting this Saturday is opening day.. with pictures, all day play day and the first game of the season..

We started the Kids Ranch Rodeo a couple of weeks ago.. and our next one is this Sunday... So we are getting really busy.. Baseball practice twice a week and then Church.. and Ranch Rodeo's just keep the wheel's rolling.. Well update after this weekend..

Well it has been a little busy around here. Spring break.. surprize birthday party for Tater and Khaliah.. Neither one had a clue till they walked in the door. Tater had been wanting to have a dance so I planned him a party with dancing. Khaliah (aka YA-YA) had been telling her Mom that she could never pull off a surprize party for her.. So Ya-Ya knew the party was for Tater and she help plan it. Tater thought the party was for his Aunt Ankie ----Tater got to help paint the horse shoes..he said MOM you made me decorate for my own party..Everyone else we knew it was a surprize for both of them. I want to say thanks to everyone who helped in pulling this off...my Aunt and her friend and Kris for helping decorate..and Dirty for moving all the heavy manly stuff..And for the party goers for helping with the clean up.. Let me tell ya planning a party and keeping a secret for two months about killed me.. But they had a blast..singing and dancing.. so I was worth all the worry and stress. I just knew someone was gonna let it slip and tell him. Ya-Ya sang a song just to Tater..(she had been practing all week) Tater thought it was for church..lol...We did the whole western theme. Ya-Ya walked in a said wrong person this isn't for me and we said Surprize yes it is for you too......It was a good time.....

Well Tristian finished basketball..his team lost one game out of eight. Not too bad for the season. Last night was the first night for baseball practice. This Sunday is the first of 4 Kid Ranch Rodeo's he is excited. We were on vacation last week.. Not too much going on ..Help Ms. Kim and Ya-Ya--Gabby move ..We are redoing my mom's house and they are going to be staying there. Last week was cold and rainy from Wednesday through Sunday ...What a vacation.. stuck most of the time in the confines with the house with 9 people.. 3 adults and the rest children... whew glad to go back to work

Well Tristian's basketball team (Cavs) lost their first game on Saturday.. It was just by 1 point but that is all it takes... But we have our last two games this Saturday ..I am doing the its almost over dance ... But knowing Tristian he will want to do Baseball next. Taylor went with the Boys youth group this weekend (our house was quite). Well Gus (the goat) has become the escape artist..he gets out more than he is staying in..I am ready for him to go live with someone else. Counting down the days till he is shown (wanted to keep him but he is working that one nerve). The dogs can hear and smell him and they really want to meet him not sure good ole' Gus wants to meet the dogs. Well I seem to be on the mend..Still got the cough but everything else is gone. Taylor still has the cough.

Well Saturday Tristian's team had another basketball game. The Cavs on again 3 wks now in a row..score 41 to 18.. sorry no pictures..I broke the camera. It was a great game they all did very well. We have three games left for the season.

Saturday was a very busy day.. Tristian had his second basketball game of the season and at the same time Taylor and I had to be at the High School for the signing and training session for his new labtop computer the school giving out with the new Vision 20/20 program. So Uncle Homer, Aunt Sandi, Sydnie and Ankie went to cheer for Tristian..As you can see by this weeks score board his team (The Cavs) won again 26 to 13---GO TEAM GO... I think we have 3 games left. After the game Uncle Homer and Aunt Sandi invited the boys out for some play time with the horses. Nothing like getting in a few hours of practice. They had a great time. Especially when Aunt Sandi offered to make them Pizza for dinner. They all came home full as ticks and ready to crash. Sunday after church Taylor decided he hadn't gotten enough horse back time so he and his friends went back out for a few more hours of practice... I can tell they are ready for spring.

As you can see we have moved Gus from the Ag Farm to his new home in our garage. It makes it easier for us to check on him. After 3 days at the vet's we are glad to have him home and feeling better. He has only escaped twice (thanks to the kids not locking the lower part of the gate). I think Aunt Kris and Tater did a great job in fixing up his new home. Now we can check on him all day long.

Well as you can see the new year is here and the kids are gearing up to keepme busy. Tristian is playing basketball--Taylor is searching high and low for some Ranch Rodeo's --Tristian says he has his Ranch Rodeo team together and they are ready to ride and rope (we shall see). He has chosen two girls and another boy to be on his team (and I think the girls are gonna show the boys how to get it done)... Taylor has the roping itch.. everyday I hear mom when am I going to get to rope. Well that would be up to good ole Mother Nature.. One day it is sunny and 70 and the next is it cold rainy and 30.. so we shall wait and see.....Me myself I am looking forward to the sunshine and sitting on the beach watching the waves roll in.... (I know I am only dreaming)

Well today was the 1st basketball game of the season for Tristian (actually Tristian's first time to play in a basketball game) and his Team WON! check out the scoreboard it was a really great game.. and it was nail biting one minute we were ahead the next we were behind the next ahead .. Whew! glad when it was over.. Good Job CAVS............
